Another good gig under my belt – a cracking night at Cape Cornwall Golf Club with the ska-behemoth that is Pondlife!
Aching back this morning, but not sure whether that’s from lugging kit around or too much dancing!!
No let up as we head to the end of 2010 – still 2 parties to play plus the small matter of a trip to join JTQ in Northampton on the horizon!
First party is my own – so I’m looking forward to playing a very self-indulgent selection of tunes – mostly with an indie flavour.
Then on the 23rd we’re off to Northampton to support James Taylor Quartet at the Picturedrome. JTQ sell-out wherever they go, and tickets are going well for this one too. It’s going to be a cracker. More details here.
Then after a few days break for Christmas, New Year will be upon us! This year we will be mashing it up in Botallack!! I’ve got the honour of playing over the midnight period – though yesterday someone was telling me this is a nightmare for the DJ as it’s the one time of year you MUST get the timing right. Thanks for that! Better go and dust off my Big Ben sample.
Digitall DJ will be busting out of the Duchy big style in just a few weeks. I’ll be packing a hard-drive chock-full of the finest funk and toe-tapping tunes and pitching up at the Picturedrome in Northampton.
On the bill are Northampton favourites The Strides and the utterly brilliant fathers of Acid Jazz – James Taylor Quartet.
