Summer (yeah right!) Update…..

I can’t believe it’s been nearly a month since I last posted.

Lots of exciting news to report, including a bank holiday triple-bill, a new residency and a major midlands adventure. Read on for details:

But before I look forward, a quick review of the past weeks which have been a whirlwind of activity.

The Sound first birthday party was a cracking night – thanks to the guys there for the gig in Room 2, and all those who dropped in and got down to my tunes. After an epic 5 hour set, I managed to catch most of the set from Hong Kong Ping Pong, who were as awesome as ever! I also had the pleasure of helping to christen the new karaoke booth – where obviously I was briliant ! (Thankfully it is pretty soundproof!!)

My radio shows continue apace, but note that my Brap.FM  show is moving to the OTHER alternate Tuesday – I’ll be live tonight and every other Tuesday thereafter 10pm-midnight at

There’s a new mix up on Optimistically called Summer Sundae, it is a jolly jaunt through house, breaks and electro. Have a listen, let me know what you think. Click the link or just go to the Music page.

Phew, what else to report? Well, just more fun punk adventures with the Surgeons, the first ever DJ set at The Farmer’s Arms for Taf’s birthday and a rather messy house party!

It’s the last Bank Holiday of the year next weekend, but there’s no rest here! 3 gigs in 3 days as follows:

Friday sees Razzmatazz, the monthly indie night, move to it’s new home at the Ritz in Penzance. This is proving to be a great venue, with new stage, comfy seating, loads of space yet an intimate feel, and Skinners on tap! This month sees Falmouth indie-rockers Lonely Hunters providing the live element, and we will be dancing away till 2am. Come along and support local bands and have a great time. Did I mention it’s FREE!!!?

Saturday sees me return to Toast at Falmouth for ‘Mashup Mayhem’. I’ll be there from abut 10.30pm – 1am. Again, it’s free, and in such a great venue, it’s always a good night.

Sunday is far from a day of rest, as Party In The Park returns to Trereife Park in Penzance. 2 marquees,  16 bands,  and DJs make this great value at only £7 in advance. See the Facebook page for details. It’s a great line-up with the best of local music. I’ll be providing the sounds between the bands in the main tent all afternoon, then catch me with the Surgeons on at 6.30pm.

Well this post is far too long, so other news will have to wait!! I’ve learned my lesson and won’t leave it so long again!!

Next post – new residency, and BIG news of a very special gig!!
